Getting Started

We stand behind our placement process with a 90-day fit guarantee. If your virtual assistant isn’t working out within the first 90 days – whether they quit or need to be let go due to performance issues – we’ll find you a replacement for the same position at no additional cost. This guarantee ensures you find the right long-term fit for your team. Note: The guarantee doesn’t apply to situations involving company downsizing, layoffs, or reduction in workforce.

From our initial call to hiring your virtual assistant, it usually takes 2-4 weeks. Of course, it may be a little faster or a little slower but this is a good timeline expectation.

Our process is simple: First, we’ll have an initial consultation to understand your needs. Then, we’ll search our network of qualified VAs and present you with the best matches. You’ll interview your top candidates and select the perfect fit. Once hired, we provide support during the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition.

Our virtual assistants are college-educated professionals with excellent English communication skills and typically 3-5 years of relevant experience. They undergo thorough screening, including skills assessments and background checks. Many have specialized skills in areas like customer service, social media management, and administrative support.

A Filipino virtual assistant can enhance your business in so many ways! They are hard-working, loyal, and intelligent. Anything that can be done remotely can be done by a virtual assistant.

Working with Your VA

To build a relationship with your virtual assistant, it’s important to integrate them into your team and business. Effective communication is a large part of successfully integrating a VA into your business. You can communicate with your virtual assistant by video chat, messaging apps, email or other communication tools. Google Workspace has these tools built in.

Many Filipino virtual assistants are used to working US-based hours. When we start the process of finding your virtual assistant, we include the time zone you are located in to ensure the VA can work those hours.

Filipino virtual assistants generally look for full-time hours. Part-time VAs may require them to find another part-time job, or look for a full-time opportunity, both of which don’t allow them to give full attention to your business. We currently only source virtual assistants for full-time hours.

We only hire full-time virtual assistants to ensure they work full-time hours (8 days / 40 hours per week) exclusively for you. When you pay your virtual assistant, it is a set amount instead of a per hour basis rate. You will pay them based on a monthly amount and not based on the number of hours worked. For this reason, some clients still choose to track hours, while others just get a general grasp by having them send messages when they log in and out. How you track hours is up to you! We have seen clients use time-tracking software like TimeDoctor, while others have their VAs message them when they login and log out.

Virtual assistants are proficient in common business tools like Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, project management software (Asana, Trello, etc.), and communication platforms (Slack, Zoom). They can quickly adapt to your preferred tools and systems.

Costs & Contracts

You pay your virtual assistant directly. We don’t act as a middleman, which means you save money, and your virtual assistant makes more.

We charge a one-time fee of $3,000 USD. Upon starting the project we collect a $500 deposit, with the remaining $2,500 balance due upon hiring a candidate. We don’t charge a percentage of the first year’s salary but a simple, standard fee.

That’s up to you! You can set your budget for the role, however most Filipino virtual assistants are paid between $800-$2,000 USD/month. Depending on the required experience and skills, this range can be adjusted. The Philippines have a much lower cost of living. Working with US-based companies, Filipino virtual assistants can make more than many local jobs and work in safer environments. US-based companies get great team members. It’s a win for everyone! You can also choose to offer bonuses to your VA. These can be performance-based, quarterly, or anything you desire. It is also customary to provide a 13th Month Bonus to Filipino workers. This bonus paid in December is equal to one month’s salary.

There are many services that allow you to pay for your virtual assistant based in the Philippines. A few we recommend are Wise and World Remit.

Filipino virtual assistants are generally paid as independent contractors and not employees. We encourage you to discuss your specific questions with an attorney or qualified individual.

We offer a 90-day satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not satisfied with your VA’s performance, we’ll work to resolve any issues or find a replacement at no additional cost. Our goal is to ensure a successful, long-term working relationship.

Our Commitment to Human Connection

In an age where AI and automation are increasingly prevalent, we believe that human connection remains irreplaceable. While artificial intelligence offers remarkable efficiency for certain tasks, the nuanced understanding, empathy, and creativity that humans bring to service businesses cannot be replicated by bots.

At Runway Support, we embrace technology where it enhances our service, but we’re committed to maintaining the human touch that makes business relationships meaningful and effective.

Why Human Connection Matters

Empathy and Understanding: Human virtual assistants can truly understand the context, nuance, and emotion behind requests in ways that AI simply cannot.

Creative Problem-Solving: People bring unique perspectives, experiences, and creative thinking that leads to innovative solutions tailored to your specific needs.

Relationship Building: Business is fundamentally about relationships, and meaningful connections are formed between people, not bots.

Cultural Awareness: Human assistants understand cultural nuances and can adapt their communication style appropriately for different contexts.

Our Human-First Approach

Every virtual assistant we place is a real person with unique skills, experiences, and perspectives. Here’s how we prioritize the human element:

Our Pledge

We commit to always prioritizing human connection in our business.
